The Mojang boys are back to work after their holidays and working on Minecraft version 1.8. Jeb says he is working on changes to the trading systems, which I think will be very welcome!
Jeb tweeted this:
Been rebalancing villager trading in Minecraft. Offers will be less random and probably more useful.

I just spent some time wandering around my villagers looking for an interesting trade, and no I did not want to spend my hard-earned emeralds on leather boots or apples, thank you very much!
I’m looking forward to seeing what Jeb comes up with. In a follow-up tweet he hints that there may be XP involved, which would lessen the pain of trading for stuff you don’t want just to get villagers to change what they offer.
