Minecraft 1.10 - The Frostburn Update
Hot on the heels of Minecraft 1.9 comes Minecraft 1.10. Unlike the Combat Update, Minecraft 1.10 doesn’t bring huge changes to game-play. Most of the changes are additions to the world of Minecraft, concentrated in the hottest and coldest areas of play.
Cold Biomes
This update brings NPC villages to Taiga Biomes. There are also two new mobs that you might find in cold biomes:
Polar Bears
Polar Bears are a new animal that can be found in icy biomes. Like Wolves, the adults will not normally attack you unless you attack them first. However, they are very protective of their cubs, so if you approach a cub too closely any nearby adults will attack. And if you make the mistake of attacking a cub, you’ll be in real trouble…

Strays
Strays are a new form of Skeleton found in cold biomes. They behave much the same as normal Skeletons, but they are armed with potion-tipped arrows that affect you with Slowness for 30 seconds.
Husks
Husks are a new type of zombie found in the desert. Unlike normal zombies, they are not killed by sunlight. If you are hit by a Husk, you will experience Hunger for a short time.
Auto-Jump
Finally, one little-big change. There is now a setting to automatically jump when you run into a block. If you don’t like it, you can turn it off in the game settings.
