Minecraft version 1.8 is nearly here, so over the next few days I will post about some of the new features that 1.8 will bring us. First up: some new fences and doors!

That’s right: the crafting recipes for fences is changing so it will be possible to make fences and fence gates from any kind of wood.

There are even bigger plans for doors. The new doors are not just different colours; there are now 5 brand new door designs that will fit in with different styles of buildings.
