The Pocket Build is an exciting new building challenge for Minecraft Pocket edition.

Billed as a World Championship, The Pocket Build is a World Championship tournament based on quick build challenges. The event will be streamed on [Twitch.tv]((http://www.twitch.tv/mcpocketteam) and there is still time to join in as entry is open until December 24. There are even cash prizes so why wait?

This year’s event is the first in what should become a regular annual event, so the organisers have faced some challenges deciding on the scale, so the event is quite experimental. As the organisers, MCpocketTeam told me:

“First of all we talked with people who have been doing this for life and they really orientated us. We began to calculate how much money do we need, where are we going to stream it, how much players should join and we had a lot of more questions, but no one to answer them, because no one has done something like this before. We decided to run the event even when we didn’t know a lot of important particulars - the only way to understand them was to run the event.”

And so a new event is added to the Minecraft calendar!
